Renesas Electronics (TSE: 6723), a global supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced that, after obtaining approval from Reality AI’s shareholders and regulators, on July 19, 2022, it has completed the acquisition of Reality Analytics, an excellent provider of embedded AI solutions, Inc. (Reality AI) acquisition.

Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, USA, Reality AI provides a broad range of embedded AI and Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) solutions for advanced non-visual sensing in automotive, industrial and consumer products. Combining Reality AI’s superior AI inference technology with Renesas’ wide range of MCU and MPU products will enable seamless integration of machine learning and signal processing. The acquisition will enable Renesas to expand its suite of tools and software products for artificial intelligence applications and enhance Renesas’ own ability to provide highly optimized hardware-software endpoint solutions.

After the acquisition, Reality AI became an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Renesas Electronics.
